Martin purchased this bike which had been on display at Phil Cotton’s Cumbrian motor-cycle museum. The previous owner had prepared the bike for offroad trail riding and had modified the gear ratio for fast acceleration, 21” front wheel, knobbly tyres, swept up exhaust silencer and competition ‘wader’ K2FC magneto designed for submergence under water. The CS 650 model was popular in the USA and earned a reputation as a ‘Desert Sled’ for fast trail riding on the dusty desert trails.
