This MGB GT V8 was originally bright orange, “Blaze” and carries a very early chassis number within the first six built. After buying her in the mid seventies I was informed the car was one of the first factory MGB GT V8 development cars loaned to the motoring press for test and evaluation for the V8 model launch in 1973. Now colour changed to Midnight Blue, the car has continued to this day in its role as development test bed for MGOC Spares & Accessories and numerous MG upgrades featured in their range.
My wife and I have toured in this V8 all over Europe and at the end of a days’ motoring we still feel fresh and relaxed. With so much care and attention lavished on this exceptional car over the past 49 years it’s no wonder she continues to perform beautifully. A very comfortable, long-legged, and dependable grand tourer.
